Contemporary & Traditional Tibetan Calligraphy

The three spheres of om ah hum

Japanese Sumi-ink on watercolour paper, 42 x 30 cm. 2018

Three interrelated spheres of om ah hum - body speech and mind, are vertically stacked to place them to their corresponding head, throat and heart Chakras points.

This piece relies upon precise pre-constructed vertical and horizontal guid-lines, as the character of the Tibetan Petsug style of Umed scripts is particularly angular - which although a traditional script - lends a contemporary fee to the art piece, especially with the fine lined spheres placing the three syllables.

Calligraphed with a broad Automatic Pen in a Tibetan Petsug script style.
