Title:
Tiger Stripes

57x76cm Japanese ink on heavy water colour paper. 9-11-2002

‘The stripes of a tiger are on the outside, but the stripes of man lie inside’

The two-line phrase in the Drutsa script, is turned facing each other, the tails of the letters rather like the stripes of the Tiger.

This piece was painted a year to the day of the September 11th 2001 tragic event and dedicated to the loss and suffering caused on that day.
