Contemporary & Traditional Tibetan Calligraphy
Title:
Pride
Japanese ink on water-colour paper, 26x38 cm 2000
The word for Pride in Tibetan is literally ‘I King’.
The top letter has been blown while the ink is still wet, resembling a pompous horse. The tail of the word rgyal leads into the signature of the artist, this image then hoists all of Tashi’s seals.
