Black on Black Tibetan Calligraphy

For this series of Calligraphy, a technique of heavy and delicate multi layering is applied, black ink on a black ink base, gives a two-tonal effect, being more apparent in certain light conditions, the layering is reviled from its hidden place.
This departs from the older traditional boundaries of Tibetan calligraphy, with the use of modern techniques such as the resist of masking fluid, allowing contrast and opportunity to apply clean luminous colours.
